Ads unrelated to content

I have put adsense on my site, I have since changed the content, but the ads being displayed are still relating to the old content.
I have removed the adsense code, created a new adsense code and put it on the site, but its still the same.

Is this somethin that takes time to correct, or does google remember the site the first time it checks it or somethin?
I'm relativlely new to adsense so any info would be great.

    Thanks.

it take at least a few day for the spider to go back to your site to collect data.

Also, be sure to put this code: <!-- google_ad_section_start --> in your code before the relevant text on the page and this code: <!-- google_ad_section_end --> after it. That way, the Googlebot utilises the text that you want it to rather than any non topic related content on the page.
