Ads still present when I remove the ad..

I have a problem .. I removed ALL my ads from the system (some disabled, and now I deleted them all) but websites still show my ad ..

Maybe it's because they use static ads ... At what period are those refreshed ?

It's just that I want all the ads to dissapear, when I remove the ad for a particular website.

IT'll take weeks as the ads are cached.

If the site isn't a busy one it could take months. (the more visits the more often the cache updates)

    I didn't said that man .. Don't twist my words :)

I said it's awfull that I have to wait months, for an ad to dissapear from the network, after I remove it.

Since I remove the ad today ... I want it to disappear today .. right ?

The ads are stored in a text file on the publisher's site. Every so often the text file is updated with some new adverts. You just need to wait.

Its actually quite a good feature because a sudden loss (or gain) in links won't help your serps.

Guessing, 80% will be removed in 2 weeks. I've seen some stick around for many many many months.

Actually Shawn has addressed this before...Just like it takes 30 days until you get your full weight in links, it also takes 30 days going the other way.

By the way, Im not sure that asking Shawn about his back-door will help your case any.

(Sorry about that, just trying to give you a chuckle after I am sure has been a rough week)
