Many of adsense users do think a lot on wether to put Ads or Referrals ? Both Have Some Pros And Cons and i'm here to discuss about them on different terms If you use a ads to be placed on your site , the ads could be possible from a competitor's website and as many users don't use competitor's filter it could run away traffic from the website while referrals act as a product your site shall be promoting . You should know that if you are placing Referral ads they don't benefit you much at all , most sign up for a particular thing after a lot time or enter direct url instead of clicking them and till then even if you got a click the cookie may get deleted etc .. The Real Benefiary is Google Itself , for example if you put the FireFox With Google ToolBar , whenever you search using Google ToolBar it generates a hell of revenue for Google Whereas you get a Dollar ! Compare this to an ad click which could generate a range of revenue for you ranging from a few pennies to 30-40 Dollars depending on traffic , traffic's location etc .. The Best Option that seems to me for everyone is to decide where you should put ads and where to put referrals , a flavour of them is the best . If its your site's front page then should you place the ads there ? The Answer is "No" , it might be getting you clicks but if you are able to trap visitors into members or frequent users . After Thinking a lot i also am changing my flavour to put up Google Ads as Google Itself Takes up 50 % Share of the Ads , it's better that you introduce a system that gets you profitable ads and what you deserve !
