Ads on Search Engines

I've been looking into google alternatives and noticed something interesting...

Several search engines are using google ads (from adsense) on their search results page. Is this against google's TOS?

If the search engine is a Google partner then its not agaisn't Google's TOS. If its just someone that created a search page and put Google ads on it then yes it is.

 

ive never seen ads on a search engine :S

 

I believe that Ask supplements their ads with Google ads, so no if you are a partner it is not a violation.

One more question:

I noticed google has a program where you can use their custom search engine, with adsense. would you be able to use this on a search engine site?

For example, Dogpile starts using this combination on their site?

I couldn't find anything against it in their TOS, but I think it may fall into the category of a site not having any content... but confused there though.

where can i find on this site a list of search engines other than the main ones ? so that i can submit my sites to ?
