    Hello All,

My ads for a particular ad group in adwords are running on no.1 position, but still have 0 ctr .Why no one is clicking?
Please can anyone tell me the reason?

Could be anything such as the advert simply doesn't attract people to click on it. Being on the #1 spot doesn't necessarily mean you'll get clicks.

either its your ad copy which is not attracting anyone to click on your ad or there is very low search volume for your term

    There are two things here:-

    - You need to look at your ads like other members have pointed out.
    - You also need to figure out how many impressions have been generated yet, it might be the case that there are too few impressions till now for you to get a click out of them.

Make sure you write exact title and descripton, and you add several pairs of that. And also make sure your ad is placed on the correct keywords or placement. If your site is about finanical and your ad is showing on sports related sites or keywords, then people will not click your ad even if it's #1.

Add a call-to-action in your ad copy like "Join now" and "Sign up"

If you use text ads, make sure words used is attracting but avoid some disallowed words by adwords such as "best darn site".

I can't imagine how much you are bidding to be #1 if your not getting any clicks!

if you're number one with 0% ctr then it's because the KW has a really low search volume (even if your ad was a bit dire it would have a few clicks on a highly searched term if it was number 1)- use the google keyword tool and choose some better phrases (remember cheapest doesn't always mean best!)

What keyword are you going after? If it has a low search volume, no wonder you aren't getting any clicks. Also, if you read some support, it's actually better to have the #2 or #3 position when trying to get clicks and not brand. #1 position should be specifically for branding.

The number of possibilities is endless.

I would suggest spending more time with the Google provided tools to see how many impressions you are getting. If you are receiving a lot of impressions but no clicks, your ad may need to be rewritten.

Without more information it is hard to suggest any further action.
