Ads on multiple domains and the CPC

    Hey guys,

I have a small blog where I place some AdSense ads on and I used to get a good CPC from it.

Recently I started to place some ads on other domains, I realized that the CPC of this particular blog has dropped significantly, and what I noticed too, that the new ads on the new domain get higher CPC than the previous ads placed on the old domains.

My question is: Could adding new ads on new domains impacts the CPC of the previous ads placed on old domains?
    Regards

There is not a lot of information documented about this but have you changed any positions on the tags lately?

    Hey Jackderips,
I didn't change anything in my old blog, I just added new ads to a new site.

    That is strange.
Wait a week or two and see if anything changes, it's too soon to come to a conclusion.

Well, the thing is that I actually waited and it has been a month now, isn't it enough? And do you think it's strange because normally they shouldn't have impacts on each others CPC? I thought the same since the ads are on a different websites.

Ah, I thought that the change occurred recently.
Are you sure that you're viewing the right statistics?

I suspect that you're checking your overall statistics and one of the sites is bringing the average CPC down.

What I'm checking is the report performance of ad units, when I compare the recent CPC of the old ads with their performance in previous months (before I added new ads to the other site) I see that they dropped appreciably.
Isn't it the right way of checking the statistics in order to know if the new ads on the new site had effected on my old once?

You have the check the CPC for each specific site.
I think you're checking the overall one.
