Ads Not Showing In Adwords

Hi guys I am new to adwords so forgive me but I have started a campaign for a free giveaway. I don't make anything on the sale other than collecting an email address so I want to keep the click price to a minimum. So when I started this campaign 2 days ago I bidded the minimum amount which was .06 but the ads don't show up, so do I need to bid higher to get them to show up?

It says the status of the campaign is "active" but there has been no impressions.

    Cheers for the help,
    Jas.

Check the status of the words themselves as well. You will see a magnifying glass icon beside each one-hover over it for a message about the word itself.

If this is active as well, consider upping your bids to begin. I never start at the minimum, and adjust after position ranks start coming in.

Ummm ok I guess I will need to bid more, but I don't think it is worth any more per click
might need to abandon the campaign!

Hi, would you mind to explain further what you mean by "adjust after position ranks start coming in"? I would like to learn more about that. Thanks.

    Hi dear
In some cases, your keyword may be marked as Eligible in the Status column, even though it isn't currently showing your ad. This status means that your keyword can trigger ads. However, your ad's appearance for an eligible keyword can be affected by your first page bid estimate or Quality Score.
    I hope you will understand.
