Ads not showing anymore and would like to know how well I'm doing

Hi, I'm a new adword advertiser and just wanted to get some questions answered, if anyone'd like to help haha.

1.) So recently, about yesterday, my ads all stopped showing.. I checked the keyword statuses and all of them are 6/10 to 7/10, and the only reason that I saw displayed in the reasons why is that their systems are experiencing a delay. What other reason could it be? Could it be that my budget is too low? I didn't set very high at all (7 dollars), since, like I said, I'm new and don't want to screw up by accident somehow >___>

2.) Out of my progress so far... which is about a week experience, one of my ad groups has had 54 clicks, 1379 impression, and a 3.92% CTR with avg position of 2. and I've sold one product so far, all of this happening in one day that spiked for some reason. Is this a good or bad start?

And after that one day, all of my ads stopped.

So if anyone could, mind helping me out with some advice?

one reason i can think is that you have a month budget set and your budget is over?

It sounds like what happened to me. I didn't understand why they wasn't "triggering ads". Few days later my account was banned - no idea why! Google don't get back to you and no email saying why it has been banned!

Everything sounds ok. Give it 48 hours and see if things return to normal.

Thanks for the replies, and they better not ban me... I just used a 50 dollar voucher on it.

hanky, I will check and see if that's the problem, ty. edit: No, the status for the campaign is 'Eligible' and not 'Limited by Budget'.

ppc- so far, still same :/

edit: after contacting google, they've told me that my account is in review, so hopefully I'll get some info soon.

Okay, they fixed it, thank you guys for your advice anyway.

But one last question, what would be your range of a reasonable CPC you guys usually work with?

CPC will vary greatly depending on the market. For example "plastic surgeon los angeles" will likely be over $20.

I use common sense when bidding. If my product is only $50, it probably doesn't make sense to spend $5 per click on traffic. Try to figure out how much you can spend on PPC while still making a profit and work from there.

Vary by market you say, does it have any correlation with the amount of search results that appear with the keyword you choose or does the competition you face it affect it more?

Right, it's all about what you're competition is willing to pay for keywords and how many competitors are bidding for a specific term.

the number of searches per month does not have any affect on how much you will be charged per click.

    hope that helps!

So when people talk about how they improved their campaigns in ways such as lowing their CPC, they are simply finding low competition keywords?

It does help, it's only been a week since I even saw anything to do with afilliate marketing and I've made 60 bucks :) So thanks haha

Not exactly, what they usually mean is the improve some very important parts of the system such as:
    1. Make landing page extremely relevant.
    2. Make sure the key phrase and the ad are extremely relevant.
    3. Using exact match to make sure they don't show for to much general stuff..
    4. Pausing any keywords getting tons of impressions but less than 1 % click thru rate.
and on and on and on and on... for 600,000 more pages of technical stuff...
