Ads not found

Discussion in 'Co-op Advertising Network' started by heapseo, Sep 22, 2005.

    I recently took ads off www.american-restaurants.tiptopvillas.com but left them on tiptopvillas.com but my account says 'ads not found on www.tiptopvillas.com'. I unconsolidated and unbound the accounts but still have the message. What do I need to do?

    Thanks :)

    Are you going through a proxy server or anything? You server doesn't seem to be seeing the IP address of the validation server properly.

    No nothing like that, the ads have been fine for ages until I took them off the subdomain, just assumed that must have had something to do with it. Unless, coincidentally my host is doing something strange but i doubt it.

    Add this to the end of the ad_network PHP file (before the closing PHP tag):
    echo "<!-- $_SERVER[REMOTE_ADDR] -->";
    PHP:
    That will stick the end user's IP in a comment so we can see it when viewing the source.

    Okay... the IP address looks fine, you can remove that line. What's the URL to your cache (.txt) file? I want to look at something in it.

    You would have to have one... you should have 2 ad_network* files. One is a PHP file, and one is a TXT file.

    Looks like it's an issue with your server not resolving the validate.digitalpoint.com email address. It should be resolved down to the numeric IP in the .TXT file.

    Probably are going to have to talk to your server admin on that one.

    Ok, so it has nothing to do with the fact that I took the ads off the subdomain? Just wondering as it seemed to happen at quite similar times

    Sorry to be a pain in the ass shawn but I can't remember any of my login details - which email I used (can't find confirmation anywhere), username or password for my subdomain - www.american-restaurants.tiptopvillas.com. I need to log into it again to re-bind and re-consolidate my accounts. I figured I wouldn't need it again as it was all bound to hte master... DOH

    Because I unconsolidated the account and unbound it, I only see 1 site when I log in (my main site, not the subdomain). I thought maybe I have to register the subdomain again but as I thought it might, it says url already in use. There is nothing under 'my sites' and I cant figure out how to get back to the original account of the subdomain to bind and consolidate once again :confused:

    You have to log into that account and bind it.
