how do i place ads in my sidebar (the widget does not work) where they will be above everything else in the sidebar. In other words, when you look in the sidebar i want the first thing listed to be an ad (or a couple of ads) and then the Page links, calendar, etc. Check out www.makingadollaroutof15cents.info which is my blog and you will see what i am talking about.

Open 'sidebar.php' and place adsense code right at top.

If you have more than one sidebar, make sure that you are editing the correct one.
Also make sure that you have ALL of the code and it's tags.

Make sure that you are not putting the ad code in the middle of another block of code ie: between an unrelated <div></div>

Don't put it exactly at the top of the sidebar.php file, you have to place it just above where the widgets, or what ever the first thing is in that sidebar.

Make sure the ad dimensions match the dimensions of the sidebar.

Nice theme by the way !

I only know because I have done it before and sat staring at my blog for hours trying to figure out why this wasn't working....recopying and pasting the same partial code, over and over again:eek:

I can see Google Adsense on your sidebar, but it has only one ads. You might want to put ads on your single post too, as it is more profitable.
