    it ruins the look of your design ... i'd rather put an affiliate banner rather than adsense because they look gay ...

    other than that ... i much prefer sitewides than adsense they generate enough value.

    We use Adsense, but a high CTR on a directory is almost impossible.

    I use Adsense with good results on my directories, on my directories perform better than any other sites I have.
    If you get only webmasters submitting sites Adsense and other text banners will perform poor but If you get visitors looking for search results adsense is awesome.

    most visitors visit our directory are webmasters. So why would we waste time to implement ads there for :p

    yea,i have adsense on my directory sites,but have been thinking of taking them off..dont make any money and space could be used for something better

    I've recently put adsense back on my directory after it being gone for a while. Now that my traffic is starting to take off I figure it might be worth it to have the ads on there. On the other hand, I've also turned it into a paid directory, so I'm not sure if I'll leave the ads up there. I think I'll give it a week or two and see what happens.

    i dont prefer to put affiliate ads on my directories either, more like text links, sales, get more money in my opinion of the directory is developed
