I tried several times in the past a few months, but never past the validation. Do I have to put it on every page? My site has three parts: static php pages, forums and blog, I did it on the first one. Thanks! Update: It seems so according to some old posts. When I did the validation, the program told me it failed immediately, appears that it only checked the index page, or the program is super fast.
if your forums and blog are on a subdomain they don't need the ads there. but yes, they'd need to be on every page (including the index) of the main site (if that's the url you signed up with)
If I want to get links to the index page, I have to put the ads on every page, which is not easy due to different setup instructions. Is it possible to register as domain.com/forums/, but get links to domain.com?
"Is it possible to register as domain.com/forums/, but get links to domain.com?" yes. your links can go to wherever you want...could be a completely different site if you wanted.
But the install is kind of vague, and I see alot of people asking the same thing. Couldn't someone make a sticky detailing each method of install? I had to play with it awhile to get it to work. Also, I still don't get this weight thing. I've searched and searched, and I will keep on surfing till I find it. It would just be alot easier if It was at the top of the forum. Now, I'm just gonna sit here and see what all the hype's about, seems to be worth it from what I'm reading. Oops, that one line doesn't read right!
If a website is a default type of the program, such as phpBB, vBulletin, it seems quite easy to setup. But if not, it could be a pain, for example: my site http://www.dvd-software.info/ contains normal php pages, a phpBB forum, a movable type blog(static html pages) and a few static html files (php file via mod_redirect), I don't know how to put ads on every page.
I was also confused a little when signing up to the ad co-op. I wasn't sure what the URL it asked for would be used as, since I wanted them to show up one place and my co-op ads to point to another place. Luckily I put in the proper one (where the ads would show up). A simple line explaining this one the sign-up form would probably reduce future tech support about this.
