    yes, it has been happening for awhile now.

    I think they are quite distaseful, but a good way for G to advertise its own product.

    They also have ads by Google with the image from the SE main page.

    Lol..the previous ads by gooooogle was better :( When does this G logo ads got implemented? I haven't seen any yet...

    That's just plain ugly.
    But the "ads by Google" one with their homepage logo in black letters is pretty neat

    I don't really like the one with just a G. It looks tacky, in my opinion. I don't mind it when it has the whole word spelled out in color though. It gives a little extra flare to draw attention to the part of the page with the ads without detracting from the blend too much (a little, but not too much).

    I personally do not like the logo as well.. especially when its popping up in my sites..

    Agreed. I think it would look much better without the black border.. would still prefer not to have it.

    Does anyone know if they'll decide to keep it permanently or not? Or will it always appear randomly on the site?
