I don't know if my adds are working. I had my mom click on an ad at work:) but my adsense report didn't show it. How can i tell if my ads are working or not?

You can see it on your adsense webpage. It takes little time to effect statics at your adsense page when someone clicks on an ad.

what do you mean my adsense webpage? My homepage?

My adsense report said that nothing happened today as far as clicks. My mom clicked on the link like 4 hours ago. I don't think its working.

First of. Never ask people to click your links.

Second: Do your mother and you use the same ip, internet connection?
If so the click can have been filtered out as invalid.

yeah, people ask how I make money on certain sites that don't sell anything. I am hesitant to tell them because they do not understand that they hurt you when they go to your site and click away. Too many people that learn that and you're screwed...especially if you get into big money and they know it would hurt you by clicking repeatedly (jealousy since you do not hand over your secrets - this is the best story below).

I get people all the time that want to put our heads together, come up with an idea, and do it...and they will pay for the hosting! Nice sentiment, but since I'd be doing the coding, design, marketing, technical customer service, link exchanging, buying and managing domains, etc., why would I go halves on profits for a person willing to put up the $2 a month hosting bill. All the time I get this! People are really in the dark.

Oh boy. You have just dramatically increased your chances of getting banned. You would be wise to keep your Internet earnings a secret from your friends and family. You never ever ask anyone to click on your ads, especially just to "see if it works". You're setting yourself up for a fall, I'm afraid.

P.S. Google has lurkers on this board. I wouldn't be surprise if one of them has already read this, and put a check next to your name via that website of yours you keep putting in every single post you've ever made even before you were allowed to use live links.

    Egustafson,
    Just a tip-

Never ask someone to click on your ads, you seriously risk being banned. I really hope your mom just clicked just 1 time rather than several times to "help you out"

You should trust that the click will be credited as long as it is determined to be valid.

Think twice about posting items like this, you are violating the google TOS, by asking someone to click on your ads, and risking your ongoing participation in the program, especially since you have a site in your sig.

PS All valid clicks are credited. If google determines you are cheating, they take back all the revenue accrued, and ban you from further participation for life.

    The tos is here. http://www.google.com/terms_of_service.html
