i have two ads placed on my blog and they use to be related to what content i am writing and what my blog is about... now i have noticed the past few days the ads are not even close related to what i am writing about or the niche of my blog... why is this and can it be fixed?
adsense shows ads using page keyword or the area where ur ad code is ensure what text u have where ur ad code is
i have not changed anything though.. it has been working for months.. but decides to not show proper ads past few days?
Have you added or removed any content? Maybe the bidders ended there month and these are the replacements ads.
Maybe since its holiday season certain ad publishers have disabled thier campaigns and therefore no ads
Yeap. I also experienced this scenario in some of my blog. I'm hoping that it will be fine next year.
I don't think that Google have a small amount of advertisers in their adwords campaign. You should try checking it with adding some new codes or might be increasing keywords in your posts.
wait so is this a temp. problem?? like you know this for sure or what? i dont want this hurting my earnings..
This is all part of adsense. Be sure to increas your keyword density, some say no more than 3% while others go with 5% keyword density. Be sure to use tags, and keyword rich titles. Sometimes this does happen as google does have issues with there system. Another idea is to add more articles onto the homepage. Instead of only showing one or two articles show 5-7 articles on the homepage. Another quick fix is to use the <h1> tags along with bolding the keywords. This becomes very obvious to some users, so use at your own risk!
Why not try section targeting https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=23168
Waiting for Google adapt. The Adsense have its own bot that different from the normal bot, just wait it crawls your page again.
I agree with cph198, maybe because of the keyword density problem. You can use the free tool by typing 'keyword density tool' on Google to see whether your articles are targeted towards your niche. More than 3% would be perfect.
Google is also working with doubleclick on behavioral targeting. Perhaps you are seeing some results of this: http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2009/03/behavioral-targeting-in-google-adsense.html Are the ads appearing relevant to YOU (i.e. MMO or webmaster ads/services probably) instead of your content?
use section targeting in your blog find single php or single post php add <!– google_ad_section_start –> before <?php the_content; ?> and <!– google_ad_section_end –> after it also you can add <!– google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) –> and <!– google_ad_section_end –> to your sidebar and footer php to stop adsense bot crawling them, this should them put relevant ads in your blog, if it does not do it straight away refresh your page a few times and google will crawl and should show relevant ads hope this helps
you may call me stupid but i have no clue how to use meta tags or anything.. that code you just pasted i dont know where to put it or anything.. they are still showing like random ads.. i just added adsense to my forum that is connected to the blog, and they are showing some ads that are relevant to my niche.
if you are using wordpress there are a few plugins you can use for section targeting, maxblogpress does one and the other is called advanced adsense it will automatically add section targeting to your content or your tags but be aware that plugins usually link back to author of the plugin, i recommend adding code Manuel for best results, try searching Google for section targeting there is lots of info out there on the net with tutorials etc
