Hello guyz... I am 21 years old guy. Now a days I can see most of the people spend a lot of money to learn Photoshop. But I do not recommend that. What I am going to say is any one can learn Photoshop for FREE.... Yes that's true. The best example is, myself. I am a Photoshop expert. I am making money out of my Photoshop skills but I haven't spent a penny to learn it. Let me tell you how I did it. Think that you do not know anything about Photoshop.. Requirements, - Interest to learn. - Photoshop software installed in your PC - Internet connection First of all open Photoshop and try some tools by yourself. Just open an image from your PC and try different tools. May be you does not know anything about the tools. But just try... That's the important thing. Then search for Photoshop tutorials on Google. You can have a large number of websites that contains Photoshop tutorials. First do not use most advanced Tutorial websites. Just look for simple ones. Personally I used Learnaps.com. First read the tutorials about tools. Learn them one by one. You can do this within two or three days. Spending about an hour or two on this. As the next step try simple activities like background removing, adding effects...etc. This will be a bit harder for you. But you can do it. This is the most hardest stage. After this step you will be able to do small Photoshop edits. This stage was been a great achievement for me. Now start to do advanced. But do not jump. Go step by step. For advanced tutorials I personally used Psdtuts.com Hope this will help for those who wish to learn Photoshop and Photoshop newbies.
Yeah I just need Photoshop on my computer is the thing. This is on my list of things to do. How long did it take for you to become as good as you are?
Totally depends on effort you put on it. If you are willing to spend at least one hour a day, you will be able to be in a good position within 2 months. But in this field you need more practice
I also start my photoshop jouney like these , like to learn itself. Upto 3-4 stating days i had got nothing but never loose my practice , now i am working with full confidence and having fun. Only practice and practice leads to success.
you can find thousands of photoshop tutorials if you Google it out .it is the best way to learn your self

Nice post, and I think patience and persistence are the only things that one needs in order to be an expert. There are a couple of other websites that I use : Abduzeedo, vandelaydesign, and blogspoongraphics. All of these have different styles of tutorials and many of them are really good for beginners. Also the PSD tuts premium membership is useful for the more advanced users. I have also found that sketching out ideas is a really good way to get your brain working, and materialize various ideas.
Indeed! I do agree with this post! I did learn photoshop through free online tutorials as well. and now I am well versed in photoshop already because I still watch tutorials up to now - for more ideas and innovative designs. Thumbs up to you!
I learnt howto use photoshop by doing beginner tutorials found here and here, then you get used to some tools etc.
Agree with you, but peoples who are weak in searching & Computers must go to Any Institute to Understand Photoshop...
Totally agree. Talking about myself, I did that too. First steps were taken in IT lessons at school, but that wasn't enough for a beginner. So when photoshop really caught my eye I started experimenting with pictures and editing them. I saw a huge amount of tutorials in youtube and other places, tried to to things by myself and finally.. I use photoshop without any difficulties. For free
