Hi everyone. I have some time so i'll post some Illustrator tips for beginners. The main thing here is to understand the main tools of the illustrator, so here it goes: 1. The main, most important tool in adobe illustrator is pen tool, learn how it behaves and you will be able to do everything. 2. Learn align and pathfinder tabs to know what it does. This is important for creating details - shadows, shades and other things. 3. Learn blend function. Repeating patterns in objects are made by this tool. 4. Learn how to use brushes and graphic styles. You can even make money by just uploading your graphic styles or brushes to some sites. 5. Learn illustrator effects - you definitely will need this in some situations. 6. Learn to use gradient mesh - this tool is for creating realistic and compex vector illustrations. 7. Use illustrator shape tool to draw things - you wouldnt believe what you can draw with only illustrator build in simple shapes (rectangles and other). Everything you see around are made of simple shapes if you look closely. 8. Learn tranparencies. For creating fancy light and glow effects on darker backgrounds use Color Dodge transparency mode. Hope this will be enough for now. If you think these are good tips, i will write more, or maybe even write some simple tutorial and tell you how to make money of it.
