Has anybody used Adobe Bridge? If so, what are the benefits of using it? I've never used it and not quite sure why I would need to????

Can anybody shed any light on this?

I don't understand its use either. It's just more bloat as far as I'm concerned.

I hate Adobe Bridge. I don't see the need for it. It just gets in my way.

Ok, I'll bite. Personally, I'd be completely lost without Bridge (or any piece of software just like it). I am a highly visual person, and I hate hate (hate) browsing my folders using standard lists - I need to see thumbnails! I do admit that Bridge is complete dog though. It's painfully slow, and it crashes often. But still, I'd be lost without it.

Yes, I realize that both Mac and PC offer thumbnail browsing - but at least with Bridge, I can have greater control on what kind of information is displayed with each thumbnail as well as how it's displayed in the the window.
