Any of you guys use AE?
I haven't used. Is it a program that is simular or better used over Flash for
web or video only? Maybe a supercharged Flash? How do you use it for your web programming? Thanks.

AE is much more complicated & sophisticated than flash but support output to flash
its a pure motion graphic software, so you cant do web programming with AE :D

heh...what about Motion? That is probablly more user-friendly then AE.
I would imagine just outputing Motion and rendering each frame into
Flash to get the 3D look.

After Effects is great if its used with flash. Render out image seq. then bring them into flash. The newst Aftereffects CS3 has web programing in it now but not near as much as flash. What I do is use each program as a tool. If I need images moving around then render out media using aftereffects.. if i need to program those objects then bring them into flash. Try looking up Lynda (teaches you how to use software online). Good luck

If you want to make interactive clips, then Flash is the best choice. AE alone is useless for web stuff.

If you want to make very pretty videos/idents/animated logos etc... then AE is totally awesome. But it does have a nasty learning curve.

If AE user-friendliness is very difficult or 10, what would Motion be from 1-10?
Also, if AE is a 10 in as far as power and feature-set, what would Motion be from 1-10?
