Hi all, I as well as a lot of you have read a lot of horror stories about getting your adsense account banned by 'click attacks' or even people who weren't click attacking but just happened to click a few too many ads over a given period of time which triggered Google's dreaded "invalid clicks" email. So what have many of us done? Implemented, integrated the wonderful Adlogger. Once up and running, I think we tend to feel more secure, thinking we've just given 'click attackers' (real or pseudo) a much harder time in taking our site down from invalid clicks. But, there's one small part of this that really makes the whole thing work or not - that click/time unit threshold we all set on our own, telling us who can click the ads how many times. What we don't know: How many times does the person (or IP) have to click in how short a timespan to actually trigger that dreaded Google email? If the answer's out there somewhere, I must have overlooked it. I've heard of some people getting banned here on DP for having as little as 6 clicks from one IP in a week, and others claming it takes much more than that to trigger the alarm bells. So my question to you AdLoggers, what's your general numbers on how many clicks you allow- particularly if you have gotten banned from Adsense *while* using adlogger because your clicks/time ratio was set too leniently? Where do we draw the line?
Holy crap, I didn't know about this! Thank you so much, my site actually doesn't get many clicks, but I'll implement this program anyway, to remove any possible chance of me getting banned.
We can not specify where to draw the LINE.. well this will be different with everyone.. as my site generates loads of traffic and little revenue, the overall CTR and eCPM remains very less but if suddenly an IP seems to giving me remarkable clicks like 50-60% of what i get in total (some times goes to 100-150) clicks a day then i will surly mail to google but wont ban the gu to see ads on my site. If google people say that is SPAM only then I will take any strict action but Adlogger type programs are mainly, in my view, the way to track and find the guilty so that we don't get banned. If we just keep on banning people only we will be the loosers. Also people who use proxies can be stopped!!
