Hi! Adlogger is gone! Any other solution to monitorize the clicks in my website? The only thing i really need it to allow maximum of 3 clicks each ip / day Thanks!
hmmm. suspended page in that link correct me if i am wrong. but download is still avaiable at aldollger.org http://www.adlogger.org/files/adlogger.zip it just does not work anymore. as it says in official page. correct? am i missing something?
hmmm. i know it is avaiable to download. but is it working after recent changes in adsense program? "AdLogger has been rendered inaccurate and useless" i dont have it installed at the moment. i was going to install it and found that information in adlogger official page. I dont know if i should install it anymore.
well, I never used adlogger to monitor clicks because I always knew that it registers mouse-overs as clicks. I am still using in my sites as so far as I;m aware its the only bit of software that guards against click fraud. might not be perfect but its better than losing your adsense account. just dont expect accurate results from it.
I don't think Adlogger is of much use. It keeps recording clicks when there are none. I used to get 4-5 clicks recorded from just 15 minutes of surfing. To prevent actual multiple clicks, I would have to set a limit of 10-12 clicks from an IP, which actually doesn't make sense. A person interested in harming a site, wouldn't surf it. He would just click ads everyday and go away. If he is smart enough, he will use a different proxy everyday and even Adlogger won't me able to stop him.
I'm using asrep as monitor, but is not really accurate and there is no way to block suspicious traffic, at least in the free version. another cheap alternative would be mybloglog.com It's not accurate either, but it tracks both clicks on YPN and Adsense as well as other outgoing links. It's fun how G pretend I keep my traffic under control, but they don't provide any tool for it or even worse, they are "boycotting" any 3rd party tool. That "It came to our attention that your site generated invalid clicks" is very lame. If you can spot those, why in the hell you don't block them and leave me alone?
You could try using an alternative service (clicksor, etc) instead of google adsense, on a site that you think might get banned..
This is why I tihnk adlogger still has a use until its either revised or a better alternative comes along. It might not get it right all the time but its better than nothing. A more interesting question would be why doesnt google create thier own script that can do this.
Asrep is just as accurate maybe even MORE then adlogger was. There are ways to block suspicious traffic in the Premium version of asrep.
