Hi, I have just spent over $250 at Adengage for advertising. I have chosen around about 8 sites to advertise on. So far I have one campaign which has brought me 4 visitors. My stats is showing that I have only received 1 visitor from that individual site so far. If this is correct then why are they trying to con me out of my money. At the end of the day I have come to Adengage to make money back from my advertising. My stats are also very accurate and I have manually built them myself so I know that it will track every visitor and tell me the time of the visitor, where they have come from, how many pages in my site they have gone to, the first page they have clicked on, and what page they came from when clicking from the external site. The main reason why I built these stats is so that when I advertise I can easily find out fruadsters (Webmasters that fraud their advertisers making out that they are sending them some good traffic when it is actually all fake). So far my stats are working rather good and so far I know that I have only had 1 click and this site may be a fraudster, using some sort of robot to pretend that I am getting more visitors than what I am. That is one thing that my stats do not track is robots. So how I see it is that 3 of them are probably generated by a robot and 1 is a real visitor. If this is the case then I am being fruad. I am going to check each site once I get more stats. But I have a feeling that it would be nothing really to do with Adengage, but the actually site that I am advertising on. They are probably using a robot that automatically clicks on each of the ads on their page every thing minutes just so that they can make more money. Lets just see how things turn out.
OK! The first post was abit harsh maybe, but we will soon see. I now have received another click which my stats script has also tracked. I now believe that the first 3 clicks were not tracked and the next two have. This may just be because Adengage probably uses some sort of robot just to check new advertisers ads to see if they are on the site and functioning properly. Hopefully this is true and all my visitors will be real ones now.
Yeah it seems fine now. I have had another two visitors and they have been tracked by my scripts. What a relief though. I really didn't thought I was getting scammed. I guess I will have to wait a little longer next time, before I thing something is wrong. So the result is that Adengage tracking does work just fine and I was wrong. Thanks Adengage for the advertising.
OK! It is time for me to get worried again. Sorry about me keep on posting in this thread, but anway here goes. I had spend just over $250 on advertising on various sites where I wanted to campaigns to start as soon as possible. So I selected: "24/06/06" as the date on three of the sites that I wanted to advertise on. This was great as my ads were showing up on the sites nearly straight away and I started getting more visitors. The only problem is that it is now showing day two on my ads already. So it looks as if that day is over and I only have 6 days left on a 7 day ad. So it looks as if because I purchased these ads about 1 hour before the day ended I have now losted the other 23 hours of my ads showing up on these sites. Is this what they actually do or will then extend my 7 day period so that it ends 23 hours later than what it should. If it doesn't then I will not be very happy as it works out that for the first day that my ads were showing I had spent over $1.70 per click on one site and I didn't even get any clicks on the others. With Adbrite once you select todays date for your ad to appear it automatically starts to next day, I though that it would be the same here. I just hope I haven't lost a day. I hope you can clarify me on this. Thanks!
