Addon Domains - Problems with them?

Pretty new to having a server for myself, so need to figure out somethings:

Right now i have a host that allows 3 addon domains.

I have a olddomain right now on this server.

So if I add a newdomain to it, it will effectively be olddomain.com/newdomain or something like that?

WIll that influence the SERPS?

I understand that using newdomain.com will still be valid, but how does this how issue works out.

Outside your server, the add-on domain sites would appear as a standalone site (like all the other sites on the same server) and would be treated so.

 

You might want to use htaccess to avoid duplicate sites when using addon domains.
