    It depends

    some people will buy shared hosting in the perspective of using addon domains. Its all about your strategy, with addon domain not enable, you may force people to buy reseller account or multiple shared hosting accounts. But you may also limit the number of people buying your services.

    Almost all companies now a days offer multiple domain hosting plans. In multiple domain hosting plans, addon domains are enabled.
