hey mate, recently i got a task from one of my existing client. he need to add additional language to his current WP website. Basically, he need to have the website in English (as it is now) and Portuguese. The Portuguese version should be completely editable like the English version in WordPress. The current website must not be changed or affected whilst the Portuguese version is being developed. he will provide me a subdomain for the Portuguese version. But I haven't experience on this kind of task...so I am looking for some help from you all. please help me by giving suggestion...I need to know how to do that step by step. for your kind information, I have good knowledge on xhtml/css and have basic wp idea. The easiest way to do this is to set up a new install of Wordpress in the subdomain for the Portugese version, using the same theme and plugins as the original. Then use either links or flags to make the language changer. The only change you will need to make on the original site is to add the link to the Portugese site. Hope this helps
