Adding Youtube video to Wordpress

I'm trying to add a youtube video to my blog. A search on google indicated that the proper syntax is [youtube= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82sBxSZBbUk] yet when I do this and publish the post, it just types the url in the post.

Can someone advise what is the correct method for embedding a video? Do I need a plugin?

I am using WP 2.1.3

You should Place Code given in the while posting and it will appear.,....

This is what I use,when I use the link that Zerosleep posted I get errors so if you do as well, you can try this.

 

Turn off WYSIWYG and simply insert the code into your post.

 

The problem is that Wordpress converts <embed> tags to <ibed> so embedding sods up. There's a very simple hack to the JS files which fixes this but I'm in a rush, just Google around you'll find it somewhere

Its easy and supports many video sites like Youtube, Metcafe etc.
