Is there any place that would let me see what type of title can be placed above the adsense ads. I some put "advertisers" "other resources" etc to when adding your ads to a column it will blend in better with the other content which has titles to explain the next block. Like navigation, articles etc.

I dont see any info in the optimization area and seems as though this may not even be allowed from one adsense blog I read.

I have seen the most success by NOT adding titles like this... (when you tell people they are ads, they are less likely to click!).

As far as whether it is allowed or not, you just want to make sure that the title doesn't "incentivize" people to click (so don't write "click here" or "support my site by clicking these links"). That is a huge no-no.

    Hello,

Basically you are allowed to use any title or header (that clearly states that below are ADS) above the adsense ads as long as it doesn't encourage the user to click the ads.

You can see here how someone was forced to place a title due to his site structure (blog): quickonlinetips.com/archives/2008/08/adsense-ads-below-post-title/

Thanks yeah I read that one on the adsense blog adsense.blogspot.com/2008/03/another-look-at-optimizations.html

So from I am seeing and reading "other resources" would not be acceptable even though its not encouraging or misleading as they are in fact other resources providing they are relevant

Yes, that is not acceptable, but yes, that is encouraging even though yes, they might in fact be other resources :)
