Adding text to image help please

    Hi

    Im trying to add text to an image in paint shop pro,

    now i can add the text fine but the text itself when applied to the image is transparent, what am i doing wrong?

    hi dont really know soemthing about paint shop, but are there any layers?
    and maybe your working on the wrong layer?

    its like something with moving lines around the text,and the text is transparent
