    Hi,

Need guidance from all the expert members of DP about Sub-Domain.

Suppose my website is having around 200 pages and if I divide this webiste into 10 subdomains (20 pages per sub domains) and linked all my 10 sub-domain from my main website then would it be consider as SPAM?

Will all my sub-domains get good ranking in search engines?

There is no benefit to be gained by doing that. You can just create 10 different subfolders much more easily and with better results

Could you confirm if you are intending on splitting the content up and removing the original pages or creating duplicate pages on sub domains? Beacause if you intend on re-creating the same content on sub domains this would be considered duplicate content and yield no advantages.

Yes I will split the old content of my website into the respective sub-domains. And in future will add more pages to all these sub-domains. I will keep Content and linking strcutre totally unique in each and every sub-domains.

Why would you do this. this would not be easy and let the content as it is because that might have been indexed by Google and other search engines and it would hurt if you change the structure

Without seeing exactly how you intend on setting up your site it sounds like you may be commiting subdomain spam which google is aware webmasters are doing, how much they penalize you for this I couldn't say.

I think you should go for sub folders rather than sub-domain. Sub domains will be considered as totally independent website and you have to do all web promotional techniques for them independently for the high ranking.

subdomains or subfolders are also not required, if you want to save time just optimise your different urls depending on what they have been made for (or optimised for)
