I am getting the error message while adding my State Bank Of India (SBI) Visa credit card with my Paypal account. The card is "verified by Visa". Is there any problem in adding verified by visa card ? Shall I deactivate the Verified by Visa option first? As per Reserve Bank of India's mandate all the online transactions must be through verified by visa cards only. Please advise
I am getting this error message "This credit card has been refused by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was refused, please contact your credit card issuer's Customer Service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card." My doubt question is Visa verified credit card works with Paypal or not ?
Yes, today the problem is solved. I have successfully added the card. there was some problem with SBI end. Now everything is OK. Thanks Now another bad news for Indian PayPal users. No domestic personal PayPal transaction is permitted. Heard that this is with effective from 15 September 2010. If you try to make a payment to Indian PayPal user then you may get this error message
Great to hear your issue was resolved. About the error you mention, i just did a domestic transfer today and it went without a problem. I have a completely verified account while the receiver's account wasn't verified.
surely another account was non indian account if payment went thru. or its made thru the paypal balance
Yes you are correct, domestic transfer is possible with PayPal balance, not from credit card. I have tried the same.
Buddy ...i think you did not made any transaction after 1st march 2010. you were never allowed to send any personal payment or receive personal payment not only India over all globe . You have to select service option before sending any amount and select purpose code before withdraw any amount in your bank account . rules only for Indian paypal customers .
Domestic transactions via Paypal are not allowed for Indians anymore, effective 15th Sept, 2010. You can still pay with your Paypal balance but not with your credit card. International transactions are not effected with this new rule. You can read the details here: http://money2paypal.in/blog/2010/09/online-payment-with-paypal-in-india-new-issue-2/
