Adding Popular Post on Home Page - Google Penalize?

I will want to add 10 popular post of my blog on home page and all other page of my blog to increase SE ranking of that article.

My friend suggested that it chance to get penalize from Google because of SEO trick.

It is true? - provide your opinion about adding popular post on main pager and all other page.

 

It's OK if you include internal links on homepage.

 

Do you want to add the entire post or only a link to that post?
If you want to add the entire post it wouldn't make any sense and yes it would be considered as double content (check out the "new" canonical tag)
If you want to add a link from the homepage to a specific article I don't see why you should be penalized. It is simple on site linking optimization to give a higher importance to the posts you want to rank.

 

use "sticky" (or add WP sticky / annoucements plugin if your have old version of WP)

 

You can link to ANY of your internal pages from your homepage. Infact it is recommended

 

This policy is followed by every popular blog, so there is nothing wrong in that, just use rel="nofollow" , if you are worried about linking to your posts.

Do not think so.. bcz iuts from ur site itself.. better is keep the title with some description and leave a link to internal posts
