Adding page rank too simple directory (url list)

I am adding some functionality to a simple web links list in joomla.

I basically need to get the page rank for the web link store it in a database and be able to call it later. if the link is tored in the database how can i use that field to get the pagerank and number of backlinks....

There was just a thread on here yesterday or the day before for this exact item. Ill try and dig it up for you.

That is probably custom coded, I have a script that you could modify to do that but it will bang on your server all day long because it is constantly checking ranks. I had it setup through a toolbar that I distributed but after just two people installed it, I had to remove it.
