I have heard many times that original content is what se's love,

Does that mean i have to update the homepage of my site reguarly ? or I can just update one of my links (eg, creditraising.com/articles)
Will that be just as good, updating my articles page with regular articles, or does it have to be my homepage ?

The reason i ask is that it will be hard to regularly add content to my homepage as it is just a sales letter and requires no more changing.

    + HELP ME CHOOSE A MARKET/NICHE.....

Yes I realise i have chosen a very competative market. I plan to do another site seling somthing in a few months. But before I choose a market/niche, how can i see how competitive a market is, or how saturated it is with competition ?

I want to find a market which hasnt got HUGE competition, how would i go about this/ what research methods would you suggest ?

their are a couple things you can do.
First check to see how many links its going to take in google to get you up their you can do this by going link:www.competition.com then check to see how many pages they created and which keywords they are after site:www.competition.com. This will give you a quick overview of what they are working with and what you are going to have to create.

As for the content you need to update your page as much as possible, think about a blog these guys update 3-4 times a day and their main page cycles the content through. What I would suggest is make 10 versions of your page one day and then use php to cycle these 10 versions once you get to the 10th version make another 10 and so on. this way you dont have to everyday keep updating your page.

Finding the easiest competition is fairly easy if you have a niche you want to work with, most of the guys that do crappy seo go for the one with the most search's per day, so use the digitalpoint suggestion tool and follow step #1 for the keywords that digitalpoint gives you.

Hope this helps a bit, their are tonez of articles on the internet involving keyword suggestion help content etc.... also I would also suggest creating an adsense account and target your main keyword to see if it gives you the expected results that you are wishing for. nothing worst then spending 6 months optimizing for a crappy keyword.

    Good luck:)

The advantage of updating your content regularly is that your content will get spidered frequently.

It doesn't necessarily mean your pages will rank more highly though. There are some sites out there that haven't been touched for years, and they still rank well.
