You are free to add your business to wikipedia but there is a guideline you need to follow (it depends on your article though). Mine got published on 2015 but it took me a lot of revisions before they finally approved and published it on their site. Plus the editing is time consuming too.
Add some of missing information on Wikipedia and add reference link. Make sure those information is also on your wabpage and information should be currect.
wikipedia is the best website for getting any information....to add your website to wikipedia you need to have the very good quality content which can really give some unique information on particular topic...also everyone want to see their webpage on wikipedia but only unique and quality content are picked up by wikipedia..!!!
Add some info which can play a major role in approving the main page of Wikipedia related to that topic. NEXT, have a smart way to place your links in reference or in external links. All this is crucial who understands the importance of backlinks and traffic.on their website... Some above may not understand these concepts
You can add your site as "external links" to some articles that have similar content as your site(your site should have GOOD/QUALITY info) Usually all external links are automatic approved but if url/site is not good/relevant will be deleted in the next 1-10 hours
It will be marked as spam and removed almost immediately. No self-promotion is allowed there. You can try to cover it up like you're adding some cool info about your site, blah, blah, blah, but they are not stupid and will deem it as spam too.
