Adding Middle Name in Paypal

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by maxgates, Sep 22, 2009.

I need to withdraw money from my PayPal account but I am stucked with this issue.

In Add Bank Details to withdraw funds - PayPal asks to enter the name exactly as it appears in Bank Account. The Problem is that my Middle name is included in my Account Name but in PayPal there is only Field for First Name and Last Name. There is no field for Middle Name.

How can I add my Middle name, should I just type it in First Name field along with first name or there is some other procedure. I live in India.

I tried contacting PayPal but they are not responding.

    Thanks

As far as my knowledge you can withdraw funds using your first name and surname (last name) in paypal to your indian bank account without having any problem.

Your middle name is not required to withdraw money to your banks.

I have mine set up the same way and use only first and last name, so you should not have any problem withdrawing under this system.

Actually,, the middle name or the initial, does not matter, Donot worry,

just make sure what you put as u r first name and the last name. this only matters. most of the payment statements do not recognize middle name.

    best of luck.

But I need my middle name on Cheques, otherwise HDFC Bank rejects the cheque named for me. That's why I was wondering if same rule applies on online payment.

In the past I recieved cheque with Name - "Mayank Gupta" instead of "Mayank Nath Gupta" and Bank rejected the cheque.

HDFC never rejected my any check on which my first and last name appear (without middle name) You need to contact and clear this doubt with your HDFC bank's branch.

After sending several emails to PayPal I finally got the reply. PayPal support team says that Middle Name is registered in their database. It won't show up in your accounts details on PayPal. When PayPal transfer funds to individual's bank account, it automatically adds Middle name during transaction.

So bottom line is all you need to do is add your middle name is your details when you are signing up. If you haven't then send them a mail to do so. And forget the rest, PayPal will take care of everything.
