Adding meta tags while forwarding with masking on GoDaddy

Hi,

I have forwarded one of my domain on GoDaddy with masking, now when I view the source code from my browser I see only the title,description and keyword meta tag. I need to add one more tag to this. How do I go about adding it ?

And also the reason I have done this is that I have hosted my site on a free host and when I open mydomain.com on my browser it shows the subdomain mydomain.host.com. I don't want to display this subdomian rather I want to display my .com domain so how to I display it ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Vinith,

Login to your Godaddy account.

Find your domain and click on Advanced Details.

Look for Forward in the top navigation, hover and click on Forward Domain.

A lightbox should open with your forwarding details.

Click on Edit on the right of the domain.

Make sure Forward with masking is selected, then add your new meta data.

As far as the second questions, I'm not exactly sure what problem your having. Can you post your url?

This is no option to add a meta tag, there are just 3 fields title, description and keyword.

 

Hello, the 3 fields are your meta tags. Make sure you use your main keywords in your title, write a attention getting description and add at least 10 keywords.

Well I want a fourth meta tag to it, in addition to description, keyword and title. Is that possible ?

 

What is your fourth meta tag? You should be able to add it to the home page your forwarding to.

 

The Yahoo explorer tag. Is there a way to tag this tag while forwarding with GoDaddy with masking.

 

Unfortunately no, but you can verify your domain by uploading a html file to the site. That method should work.
