I have set up a wordpress blog and have just created a Analytics account. It is telling me to put to the code on every page I want analysing. I am hosting on BlueHost and have all my files etc. Where do I put the code. Do I put it in the Theme Editor bit or another file?
The easiest way to get started would be to download the google analytics plugin for wordpress here: http://www.semiologic.com/software/marketing/google-analytics/ then install and activate, you will be able to paste the code in the options screen and viola! Everything is taken care of!
You can insert the code manually by going into your Admin<Presentation<Theme Editor. I put mine in the main index but have also put it on the header before and works fine. Or you can use a plugin to do the work for you.
