I live in Iceland where adding funds to PayPal from bank account is not possible. I am going to add $3000 to my account since my currency is falling and I want the money to be $ instead of ISK ( my currency ). How can I do this and not lose hundreds because of PayPal fees?

Try sending some amount to another Paypal ID using your account using credit card. Then send it back to your account.

It is not possible, if your country is not approved for adding funds via credit card.
You can either pay to someone's other paypal and tell him to return the same to you, but that include a loss to you due to fee deduction and maybe to whom you are making the transiction ask for some service charge.

Agree with all the above, you'll have to check the list of supported countries and then (If Listed) you can deposit the funds..

But, You should also consider depositing the funds in a local back account using US$ currency and you'll be fine then ;)

No, I've often done this. I have 2 accounts. However, there are always like 4.5% fees and I was wondering how I could make them as small as possible.
I'll be transferring off credit card from a personal verified account to a premier verified (2) account.

    I don't think I could use a bank account, I'd need a US one which I don't have.

You may be able to get a US$ bank account in your country.

Adding $3000 is not good that also with one paypal account, if they limit your account getting back the amount is too difficult, never store more than $250 in a paypal account if you cannot afford it.
