Adding Forum to Blog

Hi,

I would like to add a forum to one of my blogs.
What free forum software do you recommend.

There are many alternatives but maybe the forum software for this case is bbpress.

i have used phpbb with wordpress before . Its works fine and both of them are free with a lot of mods/help available

And now i am looking for a portal when i can out wordpress and vbulleting all together

 

I'd consider Vanilla (search for 'Get Vanilla') which is good for discussions on topic areas (which can fit well with a blog) rather than straight forum software.

 

If you're using wordpress definitely give http://bbpress.org/ a test run.

 

If you run a wordpress blogg there is a forum plugin called Simple Forum.

i would recommend investing 135$ for vBulletin software which is the best forum software on the market in my eyes.

 

I use SMF and just link to it from my WP Blog.
It seems to work alright.

If you just want to add some free forums,then go with phpbb3.Good luck.

 

Could MyBB be added with it too? are you talking about them being bridged?

 

Use phpBB. The latest version is very nice.
