Does the credit card has to be in the same name of the paypal account owner, for me to be able to add it to the account ?

    Thanks

Both should have the same last name and be related at least.
As the above poster says, you will have problems if you get limited by them.
So you want to make sure it's a family member's card not a friend's.

At the moment the Visa and Mastercard AVS system only checks street address and zip code. It cannot verify the name on the card so you could use any name as long as your address and zip code match. But as others have suggested, it's a good idea to make sure it's in the same last name as your own.
