How do you add Bing search engine to Firefox search bar (the one at the top right)? There is a 'manage search engines...' option if you click on the downward pointing arrow, but if you click on it it goes to addons (which includes Bing) which is not what I want. Addons is different from search engine addition to search bar.
It is an add-on, a search engine add-on. Once you install it you'll be able to select it from the 'manage search engines...' option.
no, addons is different from manage search engines addition. To prove this point, go to kosmix dot com using firefox, you will see at the top right, add to your search engines, if you click that the dialog you get is different from what you would get if it were an addon.

I myself have selected Bing as my homepage, so I just click on the little 'house' icon to go to Bing whenever I need it. I still have the google search bar on the right because sometimes I need that too. It's the best of both worlds
