Adding bank account in Moneybookers

    Hello,

My question is related to adding a bank account to MB. Now the thing what I want is the Swift-Code, I did search for it, but I found my branch missing (It showed only a couple of swift-code of the banks branches in my City). Also since the last three digits in the swift-code are the banks branch code i.e. CORPINBBxxx, could I replace it with my branch code, since I know it.

    Thanks in advance,
    Vinith Almeida

Why don't you call in the bank ? The agent will surely help you out.

I did call them, but the person who answered din't even know what a swift-code is. The people are too lazy to even find out about it.

I think the concept of using SWIFT codes is not used in Asian countries. It's popular in European countries.

Generally speaking in such cases you should use the SWIFT CODE for the main office.

Just make sure your account number is complete as usually the account number also contains the branch number

It can be add easily, first you have to get swift code, it can be get from your branch, or their helpline, or from the internet easily. Just type Swift Code with your bank name in google you will get swift code of your bank on the page.
