I have a lighting e-commerce website, and was thinking about setting up articles on lighting to add some useful content that people will like, and hopefully link to. Do you think it would be more beneficial to add the articles to the e-commerce website, or to start a new website with articles about lighting and link to it? Thank you for any tips or suggestions.
I was in the same dilemma. My conclusion was that I'm just going to add the articles to my site. I'm going to create an "Industry Articles" area and add all articles to it. I was also thinking of creating niche blog sites related to my industry and throwing my articles on them to create backlinks but came to the conclusion that i'd benefit more from the articles being picked up by search engines and shooting me the traffic direct. I'd like backlinks but actual visits over weight IMO.
always beneficial to add it to your site. If you are looking to post it on digg and all, it'd surely help to get traffic to your website. Just make sure you write genuine and good stuff articles.
I think it would be great if you add the articles to your site, if the articles are well written and you are constantly adding articles it will give your visitors a reason to keep coming back.
