I have adsense running already, you know, text ads. I was thinking of adding adsense for search and was wondering if it was worth it, like really worth it. anyone had more success with this feature and adsense text ads running at the same time?

It's a nice addition to the ads but don't expect it pays higher.

It doesn't really do any harm being there. If you have a site with great traffic, I'll recommend keeping that. Otherwise, it doesn't give much money, but adds to your sum in its own small way.

I have a question about Search. How do you get paid? I'm getting a lot of queries but no "clicks". Can anyone help me define what "clicks" are? Like if they search let's say, gold, and then they click one of the websites the search brings up, that counts as a click? Because for some reason it keeps showing that I have 0 clicks, and I really doubt it..

It's depend what keyword your visitor search. Some time people search with high pay keyword which place in 1st position and your visitor click it, you will get pay. But if your visitor only click on search result but not ad. you won't get pay at all.

In search result page, on top of the results there are a number of ads (usually 4, but can be none, depending on the keyword.) These ads are labeled Ads By Google, and are separated from the search results. You are only paid if visitors click on those ads, not on search results.

I think search is similar to linkunits, it takes two cliks to get paid, therefor they perform worse than regular ads.
