I'm looking to do a guide for local shops etc and want to use a map, so people know where it is located.

How best is it to implement something like this into a website?

A page will have info on the shops then you can click MAP and it will take you to the page with that map.

Is it best to use Google map and incorporate it into the site (have seen this on others)

Use a flash map (never done flash before!!)

Scan in a map and mark the points

    OR OTHER?

    Thanks Ian

    Whatever your preference is.

Many sites use GoogleMaps or MapQuest for this sort of thing.

However, if you wanted to keep all traffic on your site it would be best to supply your own maps.
