If I have a site indexed with a PR of 6 and I create a new page (under the same domain and host) will this new page have the same PR and be indexed right away?

    Thanks.

It all depends how it is linked. If you have a link from the PR6 page to the new page it should be indexed pretty quickly. The PR will be something lower than the page that points to it.

Thanks. I will link to my index page. I also noticed my other subpages are PR 3 that are linked from PR 6. Thanks!

i have done the same thing before this pr update.i have pr5 home page and placed 6 new html pages and i had place links on home page thats it.and i have pr3 of all the six pages in this updates.

so if u place link of that new page on your home page that it will index quickly.and u will get pr in next update lower than home page.but if u want same pr than do some link exchange for that new page.

The new page will not gain the same PR as your PR 6 homepage.

Linking to the new page from the PR6 page would certainly help in indexing but it might not get PR6 right away in the next PR update. The new page would need few other high PR links from external sites to get to PR 6.

The result also depends on the content. If it is a pure link page, you may wait forever :)

Oh really? Good to know, because I was going to create a directories page with links only lol. So I should add a body of text below/above all of the links? That would help it get indexed + PRed faster?
