Adding a new marker to google map using AJAX/PHP/MYSQL

    My idea involves selecting locations from a database and showing them on a map. The unusual bit is that I would like to update the map every few seconds with the latest records from the database. Basically I need a way to add new markers to the map from an ajax call to the server.

    Has anyone got any links or examples that might help me?
