Adding A Letter To Popular Keywords

    Hi All,

I am looking to purchase a domain while targeting a specific Keyword.

As an example, if the Keyword was "Cheap Computers" and the domain cheapcomputers.com was unavailable, would cheapcomputers1.com still work from an SEO point of view, or does Google view the digit on the end as a negative.

    Cheers

    Jake

It's one thing to add an s at the end of a domain, another thing entirely to add a number.

Think of words you can add that specify your intention for the site.

    MYcheapcomputers.com
    cheapcomputersSALE.com
    cheapcomputersBLOG.com
    TOPcheapcomputers.com
    BESTcheapcomputers.com
    USEDcheapcomputers.com

Sometimes adding another word creates a great EMD keyword phrase :)

I don't think it matters, because you still have the keywords in there...but I think they just did the exact match domain update which might penalize you for that...be careful :)
