That's the idea if your changing it to a new one. If all goes well the new one will appear when you load the page.

Also: The server searches for a "favicon.ico" in the same directory that the current document is in; Much like it searches for an "index.html / .php" file when you connect to just the directory.


The link is for people who don't have an Icon plugin, or wish to use something other than "favicon.ico".
