Adding a CPM ad to blog to make extra money?

Right now I have google adsense on my blog which is fine for me. However, is it possible to combine it with a small CPM ad to make money from visitor impressions?Lemme make sure I have this right. CPM ads pay per 1000 visitors. If I place an ad at the very bottom of the page then it will count whenever someone visits my page. Then once I reach 1000 page views it will pay me some small amount right? If I make more money it sounds good to me! If anyone can confirm this that would be great. Thanks!

Yes CPM is per 1000 impressions. Not really going to be worth doing unless you have a lot of traffic or a high paying Keyword. Just work on moving up the SERP's and your Adsense revenue will increase.

Alright, thanks. I have infolinks on my blog but they pay 3 cents per click which is very little compared to like 70 cents per click with adsense!

yes, you can do that too. Just ensure the CPM ads are not confuse the adsense ads

    Hi LLuDawg,
Working on a CPM model is a great way to make money if you have a lot of traffic.

We don’t know about the terms you have with Google adsense- but on the technical plain: placing different tags at different ad spaces (let’s say: bottom page ad has a tag for CPM and a different ad is for adsense) shouldn’t be a problem.

    Good Luck!

If I were you I will prefer CPA ads. CPM only works for real busy sites like community forums. If its a blog or a simple website then I doubt that it will fully benefit you. CPA ads on the other hand is a pretty good way to earn money, email submissions equates to money. But traffic should be targeted though.

If you have lots of traffic, do it! But don't use a network that pays $1 or $2 CPM, sell direct and get a $10 - $40 CPM

If you can find an AD that would be appealing to the traffic coming to your site, it could work out really well. I think the best type of conversions are with email sign-ups. Most people know not to give their phone number and stuff out anymore.

Adsense not introduced CPM. Untill unless adsense introduced you will not have a chance to get good income with other sites.

There is nothing wrong with using a CPM nework alongside Adsense, however many of the CPM networks require really large numbers before they consider your site

Can anyone recommend me good CPM networks for my extreme sports blog? Right now I don't get much traffic, only about 30-40 a day so i want to disable adsense for now and use some other ad network. I just don't want to see my CTR getting lower and lower. Thanks. http://vitalmedia.blogspot.com/ I currently use infolinks.
